Yes, you read that right: Hellmann’s, as in the mayonnaise company. You can probably see where this is going, and I apologize in advance for any dry heaving this may cause.

Hellmann’s created an eggnog recipe using mayo. Mixologist Cody Goldstein concocted the drink from classic ingredients like cream, nutmeg, and brandy, but instead of eggs, used mayonnaise. I guess that makes it a mayonog, technically.

Thankfully, this is not a commercially available product. If you want to try it, you’ll have to head to Amy Fontaine’s, a bar in New York City, before Dec. 15. A cup of the frozen, blended drink will set you back $16, but you don’t want to pass up the suggested pairing: a snickerdoodle cookie complete with a mayo-based glaze.

Hellmann’s wanted to “highlight the versatility of Hellmann’s Mayonnaise and encourage everyone to get creative in the kitchen this holiday season,” according to Food & Wine, but I’m not sure this is going to make people want to use more mayonnaise than usual. For what it’s worth, at least one person has tried the mayonog at the bar, and said it’s actually delicious. I’ll take their word for it.
