With Thanksgiving peeking around the corner, turkey is having its annual 15 minutes of fame. But if you ask KFC, the bird can gobble off, for all they care, as the chain is focusing on the poultry they do best: chicken. The Kentucky-based fried chicken announced its $25 Extra Crispy Festive Feast, available nationwide since November 17, centered on the turkey-hating demographic.
“Are you one of the 35% of consumers who hate turkey?” KFC said in a press release. “Then forget overcooking your bird or choking down dry poultry.”
What Comes With the KFC Extra Crispy Festive Feast
The Festive Feast includes an 8-piece bucket of Extra Crispy fried chicken and the chain’s new Gravy Flight in three flavors: Signature Brown, White Peppercorn, and Southwest Cheddar Gravy. KFC says the feast, priced at $25, is enough to feed a family of four and includes biscuits, two large sides of mashed potatoes, and three eight-ounce servings of gravy.

“KFC has been bringing people together around the dinner table for more than 70 years, and this holiday season we’re inviting everyone to cluck turkey and make room for flavor,” said Melissa Cash, KFC U.S. CMO. “For us, it’s about comfort, connection, and craveable food. The Extra Crispy Festive Feast and our first-ever Gravy Flight are designed to bring that joy back to the holiday table — at a price that brings everyone to the table, because the holidays should taste as good as they feel.”
Whatever Turkey has done to the Southern-style chain, they are not forgiving.

The relationship crisis between the Thanksgiving bird and KFC goes deeper than the chain pushing its ol’ finger-lickin’ chicken during the turkey season. KFC is actively going against the poor bird (like it’s not going through enough this season) with a new campaign named “Cluck Turkey.”
The anti-turkey campaign aims to invite other turkey-haters — or convert those in favor of the bird — “to ditch the dry, flavorless turkey feast and embrace something that tastes good.” The chain said the campaign will include a smear message through bold billboards and unapologetic headlines.
But if you still insist on ordering the “other bird,” as the chain calls turkey, you can pre-order Cajun-style deep-fried turkey at participating locations in California, Colorado, Utah, or Washington state.

Aside from the political attack against the bird, KFC also brought back its fan-favorite Personal Pot Pie for $4.99, available nationwide since November 17.
