It’s that time of year again: McRib season. McDonald’s is bringing the infamous cult favorite back soon, but there’s something else that really caught our attention this time around.

The chain is also selling the sauce that goes on the McRib separately in giant bottles, so you can McRib-ify everything you eat for the holidays — or give the best white elephant gift ever. Here are all the deets.

Why Is McDonald’s Selling McRib Sauce?

Because some people think that McRib season is the most wonderful time of the year, presumably. Plus it’s a great marketing gimmick to get us talking about the McRib (it’s working!).

“The McRib is more than a sandwich – it’s a part of culture, it’s a legend, it’s an event,” said a McDonald’s marketing exec in a press release, presumably in all seriousness. “McRib SZN is a holiday unto itself, so we wanted to embrace that spirit and give fans an even bigger way to celebrate this year with A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce.” Okie dokie then.

The jugs, which are officially called A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce, will go on sale Nov. 25, 2024 at 10 a.m. EST. They’ll only be available online at wholelottamcribsauce.com. Of course there’s only a limited quantity and they don’t tell you exactly how much, so chances are it’ll be sold out pretty fast. If you want to deck the halls with McRib sauce, you better set an alarm.

If you’re able to get a jug, it’ll cost you $19.99. That may seem steep, but considering the jugs are a half gallon, it’s not too bad. Just imagine what those jugs will be going for on eBay! Plus it comes in an adorable, cozy sweater-like label.

If you prefer your McRib sauce served on the actual sandwich and not in bulk form, you can get your McRibs at McDonald’s starting Dec. 3. We don’t really get the hype, but you do you, boo.
