McDonald’s

It seems like Mickey D’s is finally leaving delusion land — where a McMeh burger costs $9 — and trying to win back fleeing customers with what everyone needs right now in this economy: value deals.

McDonald’s recently announced that it is expanding its McValue Menu at locations nationwide.

“For generations, McDonald’s has been committed to delivering great value our fans can count on,” said Alyssa Buetikofer, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, McDonald’s USA. “As our customers’ expectations evolve, we’re making it easier for them to get the value they’re looking for – on their terms. McValue offers more choice, more flexibility and more ways to build a meal that fits their day and budget.”

Starting April 21, fans of the value deals will be able to order more than 10 items off the updated Under $3 Menu and a $4 Breakfast Meal Deal, alongside the familiar Meal Deals.

What’s in the New Under $3 Menu?

The new McDonald’s Under $3 menu includes 10 items available throughout the day.

For breakfast, you could order classics like the Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, Sausage McMuffin, Hash Browns, or a medium McCafé Premium Roast Coffee. For lunch or dinner, that same under-$3 value extends to the 4-Piece Chicken McNuggets, McChicken, McDouble, small Fries, and a medium soft drink.

McDonald’s also plans to feature select Under $3 menu favorites at lower prices for a limited time throughout the year, starting with the Sausage McMuffin for $1.50 and the McDouble for $2.50.

What’s in the New $4 Breakfast Meal Deal?

McDonald’s is also expanding its popular value meal into breakfast. The $4 deal lets you choose between a Sausage McMuffin or Sausage Biscuit, served with hash browns and a small McCafé coffee.

For lunch, the deals continue with options starting at $5. Customers can go for a McChicken Meal Deal for $5 or a McDouble Meal Deal for $6, with both combos coming with 4-piece McNuggets, small fries, and a small soft drink.

People are not jumping for joy just yet, with many questioning the ulterior motive here. One Redditor wrote, “The clowns raised the prices for the value menu after a year here. Don’t fall for them, the 3$ menu will be $4 in a year.”

“I’ll give it a month,” said another.

Do you think these prices will stick around, or are they just a bait-and-switch? Let us know in the comments!
