One of the biggest travel trends this year is called “set-jetting,” where travelers visit the locations of popular movies and TV shows. The travel agency Planet Cruise looked into the best locations for “set-jetting” in 2023. The site based its research on the most talked about films and shows trending on TikTok. Here are the 10 hottest movie and show locations to visit.

No. 10: Manhattan

Number of hashtags: 29 million

“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” is animated, but it’s set in New York City. Tourists and comic book enthusiasts may enjoy visiting the real life location, which is a little more in reach than some of the other locales on this list.

No. 9: Iceland

Number of hashtags: 32.2 million

The infamous game has been adapted into the film “Dungeons and Dragons Honor: Among Thieves” and much of it was shot in Iceland. Look for the movie, starring Chris Pine, this spring.

No. 8: Abu Dhabi

Of course “Dune: Part 2” is going to require a location with deserts, and of course Abu Dhabi would be amazing to visit.

No. 7: Venice, Italy

Number of hashtags: 171 million

Why wouldn’t you want to visit Venice? The icing on the cake (or should we say pasta?) is that it’s the site for the Tom Cruise conglomerate “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One.”

No. 6: Wadi Rum, Jordan

Number of hashtags: 201.5 million

Heading to Jordan may feel like a more unrealistic vacation idea, but hey, a traveler can dream. Wadi Rum is the site for filming of “Dune: Part 2.”

No. 5: Tropea, Italy

“The Marvels” appears to be filming in all the most amazing locales, as it trends yet again as a reason to visit Tropea.

No. 4: London

Sure, London is a popular tourist location regardless, but it’s especially trending  due to the numerous movies and shows filmed there: “You,” “The Marvels,” “Fast X,” and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

No. 3: New Jersey

Yes, you read that right — New Jersey is on the radar to be a popular spot for travelers. It might be because “The Marvels” filmed there as one of its locations.

No. 2: Scotland

Scotland is trending as a vacation spot thanks to it being the location for the new “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” film.

No. 1: Venice Beach, California
