Thursday, April 2 is National Burrito Day. We have no idea who makes up all these silly food holidays, but it usually means that fast-food chains give away free food, so we’re all for it.
Here’s how you can score some free burritos at Tex-Mex chains this week.
Qdoba: BOGO Free Entrees
Qdoba has one of the best deals for National Burrito Day. Order an entree and a drink, and you’ll get a second entree for free on April 2. You just need to be a member of the rewards program, but you can redeem the reward online or in restaurant.
Chipotle: BOGO Free Burritos
Chipotle appears to have a great deal as well, but in typical Chipotle fashion, you have to spend a ton of time jumping through hoops to get it. Between now and April 1, go to the chain’s Burrito Vault website where every hour on the hour you can try and guess the order combination for a chance to win a BOGO burrito coupon.
As with all internet promotional games like this — and the way this same promo went last year — the 3,600 allotted BOGO coupons each hour will be gone in 5 minutes or less. Lame.
Moe’s Southwest Grill: BOGO Free Burritos and Bowls
Moe’s is also jumping on the BOGO burrito train. All day in store on April 2, everyone gets BOGO free burritos, bowls, or Moe Value meals. If you’re a member of the chain’s rewards program, you can access your BOGO freebie starting on March 31.
Baja Fresh: $5 Baja Burritos
One type of burrito will only be $5 on April 2 at Baja Fresh. Baja Burritos are made with chicken, cheese, pico de gallo, and guacamole — a steal for five bucks. You can get one per person at the discounted price. Plus, if you’re a rewards member and make any purchase that day, you’ll get a $5 off $20 purchase coupon in your account.
El Pollo Loco: BOGO Free Burritos
Grilled chicken chain El Pollo Loco will be offering BOGO free burritos on National Burrito Day. You can choose from Chicken Guacamole burritos, Queso Chicken Guacamole burritos, and Chipotle Chicken Guacamole burritos.

Members of Chronic Taco’s loyalty program can get BOGO free burritos on National Burrito Day. Order through the mobile app to get the deal. Just note: It doesn’t include the California Burrito or Surf and Turf Burrito.
Dog Haus: $3 Haus Burrito
Dog Haus has something on special that other chains don’t: breakfast burritos. Rewards members can redeem a deal on April 2 for a Haus Burrito for $3. The burrito has three sunny-side-up eggs, bacon, American cheese, tater tots, caramelized onions, and spicy mayo. The best part? Your $3 is actually going to charity: All proceeds are being donated to No Kid Hungry.
And as an extra bonus, if you get that $3 burrito, you’ll automatically get a reward in your account for BOGO free breakfast burritos good through April 30.
Freebirds: $5.95 Burritos
Freebirds will have Freebird size burritos for $5.95 on April 2. You can order in store, or members of the rewards program can order online using code FREEBIRDS at checkout to get up to two burritos at the sale price.

If you’re a member of Taco John’s rewards program, you can get a free bean burrito if you spend $3 or more. You can order online or in store, where you can show the QR code from your rewards account to get the freebie.
