We don’t know where National Sandwich Day came from, but we do know we love a good fast food deal. Turns out, many sandwich chains use this “holiday” as an excuse to drum up business with cheap prices (just as they do with other made-up food holidays), and we’re here for it. Here are some of the best sandwich deals you can get from nationwide fast food chains for National Sandwich Day on Sunday, Nov. 3.
1. Potbelly: BOGO Free
Potbelly’s Sandwich Day deals is fantastic. Customers can buy one big or original size sandwich and get an original size sandwich for free. Use promo code “BOGO” when you order online, through the chain’s mobile app, or in person with a scan of the deal code in the app. The deal is available on Nov. 1.
2. Cheba Hut: Free Subs
Cheba Hut isn’t celebrating National Sandwich Day, it’s making a new holiday, dubbed “Nugsgiving.” On Nov. 19, you can get a free “Nug” sub (that’s the smallest size sub offered) from 4:20 to 10:00 p.m. You don’t need an app or code or to buy anything else — just show up and get a free sub.
3. Subway: $7 Meal Deal
Subway is offering a new meal deal starting on National Sandwich Day. Customers can get any 6-inch sub, plus chips or two cookies, and a small fountain drink for $7. The deal is available through Dec. 26, 2024. Use promo code “699MEAL” when you order online or in the app.

4. Jersey Mike’s: Free Delivery
While it’s not exactly a free or cheap sandwich, Jersey Mike’s is offering free delivery on Nov. 3. Order your meal on the chain’s website or app to get free delivery.
5. McAlister’s Deli: BOGO 50% Off
McAlister’s Deli customers can buy one sandwich and get a second half off. It’s good Nov. 1 through Nov. 3 and isn’t valid on 12-inch or king sandwiches. You must be a member of the chain’s rewards program to get the deal because it’s delivered as a reward in your account.

6. Schlotzsky’s: $5 Sandwiches
Stop at Schlotzsky’s for a $5 medium sandwich from Nov. 1 through Nov. 3. You have to be a member of the chain’s rewards programs to get the deal, and you can redeem it online or in-store.
7. Penn Station: $5 Subs
Customers of Penn Station can get $5 small subs on Nov. 3. The deal applies to every small sub on the menu, and you can get your cheap sub for dine-in, carryout, and online orders through the website or app.
8. Jimmy John’s: 50% Off Picklewich
Jimmy John’s is pushing its latest new sandwich, the Picklewich, which is made on a giant pickle instead of bread. So on Nov. 3, members of the chain’s rewards programs can get 50% off a Picklewich when they also purchase any 8-inch sub. Additionally, through December, customers can order any 8-inch sub and make it a combo with a drink and chips for free.

9. Popeyes: Free Chicken Sandwich
While fried chicken sandwiches aren’t really in the same category as subs, they are still sandwiches. National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day is just six days after National Sandwich Day, so Popeyes wants to get in on the deals. Between now and Nov. 10, if you place a pickup or delivery order of $10 or more through the Popeyes app, you’ll get a free fried chicken sandwich. Your freebie can be the classic, spicy, or the new ghost pepper chicken sandwich.
