The restored wooden keep in Ozu, a town of about 39,000 on the Japanese island of Shikoku, is now a hotel if you’re willing to pay the price. It seems plenty of travelers do, seeing as the castle has about a dozen groups booked from March until June.

But for those who want to drop by (and not shell out for a room), the good news is that the castle is open year-round to curious tourists. And the fee to enter is just over $4 for adults.
