The popularity of fast food chicken is undeniable, which is why fried chicken chains have been opening more locations while other restaurants are closing locations left and right. The latest news? Raising Cane’s is opening new restaurants in six states in June alone. Here’s the scoop, and the full list of locations.
What Is Raising Cane’s?

In case you’re not familiar, Raising Cane’s is a fast food chicken restaurant that started in Louisiana in 1996. It has a small menu, allowing it to focus on quality and consistency (it’s one of a few fast-food chains that never uses a microwave). It serves only chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and its creamy signature dipping sauce. Cane’s has over 800 locations in 42 states after opening a record 118 new locations in 2024.
Why Is Raising Cane’s Opening New Locations?

Well, people LOVE chicken fingers. When a new Raising Cane’s opens, especially in an area of the country where there aren’t other locations yet, people line up by the hundreds to be some of the first people to taste the chicken fingers. It’s pretty clear from those consistent turnouts that customers want more fried chicken.
How Many New Locations Are Opening?

There are six new Raising Cane’s locations opening in June, according to USA Today. Four will be in new markets for the chain. Half of them have already opened earlier this month, while the other three will open in the coming weeks.
