This October 7 falls on a Tuesday, and it is not only Taco Tuesday, but the father of all—National Taco Day. Unsurprisingly, Taco Bell is taking its biggest day of the year seriously and has planned a day full of rewards, including hourly deals, all-day Party Pack savings, and merch for loyal taco enthusiasts.
Here is the scoop on Taco Bell’s National Taco Day deals.
What Is Taco Bell Offering?

This Tuesday, taco fans who are also members of Taco Bell’s Rewards loyalty program can snag a $1 Cantina Chicken Soft Taco. The deal drops every other hour, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, but there are only 25,000 tacos available for redemption, so act quickly and find the deal by clicking “Claim the Deal” in the Taco Bell app. Keep in mind, there’s a limit of one $1 taco per drop.
What’s in the Cantina Chicken Taco?

The Cantina Chicken Taco is part of the Cantina Chicken menu, released in 2024. It is built with slow-roasted chicken seasoned with Mexican spices, topped with avocado ranch sauce, cheddar, pico de gallo, shredded purple cabbage, and iceberg lettuce, all served in a soft tortilla. Each order includes Avocado Verde Salsa, made with tomatillos, green chili peppers, and avocado.
What Other Freebies Are Up for Grabs?

At 9 a.m., Taco Bell will drop 500 National Taco Day t-shirts. Later in the evening, at 7 p.m., 100 fans will win a $160 Taco Bell gift card — pitched as a year’s worth of Taco Tuesdays. The chain also announced that Rewards members can get $5 off Party Packs through the app on the same day. For delivery customers, DoorDash will offer buy-one-get-one-free tacos.
Why Is Taco Bell Claiming Taco Tuesday?

In 2023, Taco Bell fought to free the “Taco Tuesday” trademark from Taco John’s. In 2024, the company collaborated with the National Day Calendar to officially designate the first Tuesday in October as National Taco Day.
“For years, we’ve celebrated National Taco Day on October 4th, but it’s always felt like there was a bigger opportunity to align it with something even more special — Taco Tuesday,” Marlo Anderson, founder of National Day Calendar, said in a 2024 press release. “Thanks to Taco Bell’s efforts, we’re excited to officially move National Taco Day to the first Tuesday in October, creating the Taco Tuesday of all Taco Tuesdays.”
