Taco Bell

This is not a drill. We repeat: this is not a drill. Fast-food fanatics who enjoy breathing fire are having a hard time keeping their cool over the latest hot news from Taco Bell: the beloved but discontinued Volcano menu is officially coming back. You read that right, folks. The long-lost eruption of flavors is returning after a decade-long hiatus.

The explosive announcement comes after recent rumblings about a possible resurfacing of the popular menu made their way across social media, complete with a clip of the Bell’s global chief food innovation officer not-so-subtly hinting at the Volcano menu’s imminent comeback. Now, Taco Bell has released an official statement about the spicy menu’s return, promising fans access to the Volcano burrito, Volcano taco, and the option to add the actually spicy lava sauce to any other menu item.

If your mouth is already watering thinking about the delicious, creamy, spicy glory that is lava sauce, you’ll have to hold off just a little bit longer. Taco Bell says the Volcano menu will be available to Taco Bell rewards members on June 27 and it’ll roll out to the rest of the public on June 29. There is one nagging “for a limited time only” caveat to take note of, but hey, they did bring back the Mexican Pizza permanently after enough pleading from fans, so there is still hope for world peace through Volcano burritos as far as we’re concerned.
