Mark your calendars, because National French Fry Day falls on Friday, July 11, this year. While you may not celebrate that “holiday” regularly, plenty of fast-food restaurants do by giving out free and cheap fries. What’s not to love about that?
This Friday, if you’re looking to score a cheap lunch, take advantage of any of these fry deals.
Burger King
Rewards members at Burger King can get any size fry (not just medium, take that, Ronald!) free with a $1 or more purchase once per week for a limited time. Check your mobile apps, too, because there may be a BOGO free medium fries reward to use as well.
McDonald’s
McDonald’s has a long running free fries on Friday promotion, so you can take advantage of that on July 11. Rewards members will get a free medium fries with any $1 or more purchase when they order in the mobile app.
Plus, you’ll be able to get an additional free medium fries through Sunday.
Wendy’s
You can choose the size of your free fries on July 11 at Wendy’s. (If you don’t choose large, we can’t be friends.) Just use the digital offer in the chain’s mobile app to get it with any purchase. Plus, you can get the same deal every Friday for the rest of 2025.
Checkers/Rally’s
Checkers and Rally’s are getting a little cheeky for National French Fry Day. On July 11, if you bring in a recent receipt showing a french fry purchase from any competitor restaurant, they’ll give you a large fries for free.
Del Taco
You might not think that a Tex-Mex chain would have a deal on Fry Day, but Del Taco does. On July 11, rewards program members can score a free regular fry with any online, app, or in-store purchase.

Fatburger
From now through July 13, anyone who orders a burger or sandwich at Fatburger will get a free order of Fat or Skinny fries. Just place your order online and use the code “FryDay25” at checkout to get your freebie.
Smashburger
Smashburger is giving customers free fries with any purchase of a buck or more on July 11. You can get the deal in-store, or order online or in the app with code “FRYDAY25” at checkout. You can choose between Smashfries, sweet potato waffle fries, and Scorchin’ Fries.
Sonic
You have choices at Sonic. Choose a free medium sized fries or tater tots with any purchase on July 11. (We’re definitely choosing tots.)

Whataburger
Medium orders of fries will only be 75 cents each on National French Dry Day at Whataburger this year. Grab them from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. when you place a digital order.
White Castle
From now through July 11, you can get a free order of cheese fries at White Castle. Just place any order and use promo code “CHEESY” at checkout online, in-app, or in-store.
Krystal
Krystal, a Southern slider chain, will give you a free small order of fries on July 11 when you spend at least $10. You must order online and use code “FRYMEUP” at checkout to get it. (Got to say, we’re not impressed by this deal at all.)
Jack in the Box
Of course, Jack in the Box, the chain known for being able to satisfy all your munchies needs, has a National French Fry Day deal. All rewards members will get a free fries in any size and shape with any in-app purchase on July 11.
Penn Station
Penn Station is one of the few fast food chains that makes its fries from fresh potatoes. Try a small order for free when you order any sub from July 11-13.
Wayback Burger
The french fries at Wayback Burger may not be free for National French Fry Day, but you don’t have to purchase anything else to score the deal. Rewards program members can get a regular size fries for only $1 online or in-store on July 11.
Long John Silver’s
Members of Long John Silver’s loyalty program an individual sized order of waffle fries for free. You’ll have to order in the chain’s mobile app and spend at least $5 to get it.
