After a data breach that leaked AT&T customers’ information to the dark web in two separate incidents, AT&T is preparing to pay a settlement. Here are the two incidents, along with what happened:
- On March 30, 2024, AT&T announced that customer addresses, Social Security numbers, and passcodes were leaked.
- On July 12, 2024, AT&T announced that customer call and text records were illegally downloaded.
Who’s Eligible for the Payout?

If you were part of either of the two data breach incidents, you’ll be able to submit a claim. Here are the two groups of eligible people, according to the lawsuit:
- AT&T 1 Settlement Class: All living persons in the United States whose Data Elements were included in the AT&T 1 Data Incident, announced on March 30, 2024.
- AT&T 2 Settlement Class: AT&T Account Owners or Line or End Users whose AT&T 2 Data Elements were involved in the AT&T 2 Data Incident.
How Do I Submit a Claim for the AT&T Lawsuit?

You can file a claim here if you believe you were affected by the AT&T settlement.
The deadline to submit is December 18, 2025.
How Much Money Can I Receive?

According to Kroll Settlement Administration, you can get up to $5,000 if you were involved in the first incident, and $2,500 if you were involved in the second.
If you’re eligible for both breaches, which is entirely possible, you can score up to $7,500.
