While the economy has slowed dramatically across the country, that doesn’t mean your job search has to come to a halt. Many of the industries and sectors that are in high demand right now are hiring new employees in impressive numbers. From health care to delivery services, there are plenty of potential opportunities for those seeking employment. Here are just some of the current job openings.

Walmart

Apply Here Not only is Walmart, which recently began offering grocery pickup, doing some serious hiring (there are 150,000 roles to be filled), it’s offering a one-time cash bonus of $300 to its hourly, full-time employees and $150 to part-time employees. The company also plans to pay a separate quarterly bonus to employees a month ahead of schedule. As for the new hires, they will fill roles in stores, clubs, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers. While many of the jobs may be temporary, there is opportunity for the positions to convert to permanent.

Amazon

Apply Here Is it any wonder that the retail behemoth is hiring? With Americans relying on online shopping and delivery more than ever, Amazon is seeking to fill some 100,000 jobs. There are job openings everywhere from East Palo Alto, California to New York, New York as well as places in between, including Nevada and Texas. The open roles range from warehouse team members to global account leaders and software engineers. There are even openings that don’t require a resume or previous experience.

McDonald’s

Kroger

The grocery giant Kroger aims to fill 10,000 jobs and says applicants can start working just a few days after applying, if hired. Walgreens

The chain is specifically seeking customer service associates, pharmacy technicians, and shift leads.

Domino’s Pizza

Apply Here Domino’s, which we named the best value among takeout pizza chains, says it is working hard to feed America during the current crisis, and to that end the company is hiring 10,000 workers. Positions now available include delivery drivers, pizza makers, customer service representatives, managers, and assistant managers. “While many local, state, and federal rules are closing dine-in restaurants, the opportunity to keep feeding our neighbors through delivery and carryout means that a small sense of normalcy is still available to everyone,” Richard Allison, Domino’s chief executive officer, said in a statement. “Our corporate and franchise stores want to make sure they’re not only feeding people, but also providing opportunity to those looking for work at this time, especially those in the heavily-impacted restaurant industry.”

7-Eleven

Convenience store monolith 7-Eleven has announced it will likely hire as many as 20,000 new store employees to meet increased demand. “This will provide job opportunities and ensure 7-Eleven stores remain clean and in-stock with the goods our customers need during this critical time,” 7-Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer Joe DePinto, said in a statement. New store workers are being brought on board to help fill mobile orders received through the 7NOW delivery app, which provides delivery of everything from milk to bread to over-the-counter medicines.

Dollar General

The company has openings for data scientists, business intelligence analysts, renewals managers, and more. The roles are located around the country and the globe.

Dollar Tree

Apply HereDollar Tree has announced that it intends to hire 25,000 full- and part-time workers at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores and distribution centers across the country. “During this unprecedented time, our company is seeking 25,000 motivated individuals to support our stores and distribution centers as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve,” said Betty Click, the company’s chief human resources officer, in a press release. “Whether you are home unexpectedly or are just starting your career, we have a broad range of positions to fit your needs and availability.” Openings include full- and part-time managers, as well as flexible part-time shifts for cashiers and stockers. There are also opportunities in the company’s two dozen distribution centers for order fillers, equipment operators, and warehouse associates.
