Two Trader Joe’s products on display: a yellow bag of “Spring Jangle” candy treats and a blue box of milk chocolate bunny bar with colorful sprinkles—perfect picks for any Easter basket—both seen on a store shelf.

It’s almost time to be the Easter bunny! If you’re filling Easter baskets this year and you’re looking to branch out from the same old same old at your local grocery store, Trader Joe’s is the place to do it. TJ’s has a variety of fun Easter treats, from cheeky gummies to chocolates that seem like they should cost a fortune, yet they all embrace affordability. Here are some of our favorite finds.

Candy Coated Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds

Bags of Trader Joe’s candy coated dark chocolate covered almonds, decorated like pastel speckled eggs in a nest, are displayed on a shelf with a price sign showing $4.99.
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

Almonds are already delicious, but when you dip them in dark chocolate and then coat them with a candy shell? Oof. Typically expensive, these almonds are only $5 for a 7-ounce bag, and they look just like little Easter eggs.

Spring Jangle

A yellow bag of Trader Joe’s Springle Jangle candy mix sits on a shelf. The bag features colorful candy illustrations and text that reads, "A cheerful mix of fan favorite candy treats," and has a net weight of 10 oz (284g).
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

It’s hard to go wrong with Trader Joe’s Jangle — after all, even the bag says it’s a “cheerful mix of fan favorite candy treats.” It’s as on-brand as Easter snacks go, too, making it an obvious choice. A 10-ounce bag costs $4.49.

Chocolate Truffle Eggs

Boxes of Trader Joe's Chocolate Truffle Eggs, each containing six foil-wrapped eggs, are displayed on a shelf with a sign below reading "Chocolate Truffle Eggs $2.99 Made in Belgium!
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

Chocolate truffle eggs made in Belgium? For $3?? SOLD.

Easter Joe-Joe’s Cookies

Two boxes of Trader Joe's Easter Joe-Joe's decorated chocolate vanilla creme sandwich cookies, each featuring festive designs like eggs and bunnies. A price sign below reads "Easter cookies $3.99".
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

These are Trader Joe’s famous Joe-Joe’s cookies with an Easter elevation. Our personal favorite is the cute little bunny butt.

Break Apart Bunny

Boxes of Trader Joe’s Break Apart Bunny chocolates are displayed on a wooden shelf. A handwritten sign below reads “Break-a-part Bunny $3.99” with a note, “A Holiday Favorite.”
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

Every good Easter basket needs a chocolate bunny. These ones aren’t just dubbed “Break Apart Bunnies” because TJ’s knows kids are going to commit a candy crime to eat them — they’re filled with gummy candy carrots.

Speckled Egg Milk Chocolate Bars

Trader Joe’s Speckled Egg Milk Chocolate Bars are displayed in an open box, with a sign below reading “SPECKLED EGGS MILK CHOCOLATE BARS, $2.99” and describing them as a less labor-intensive egg hunt.
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

The speckled eggs milk chocolate bar is essentially an Easter egg hunt in a candy bar, with the speckled eggs tucked in little chocolate pockets. If $3 feels steep, that’s because there are two bars in each package.

Dark Chocolate Covered Caramels

A bunny-shaped milk chocolate bar with colorful candy and sprinkles in festive packaging sits on a wooden shelf at Trader Joe’s. A sign below advertises dark chocolate covered caramels for $5.49.
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

The milk chocolate bunny bar is a sugar buzz waiting to happen. It’s topped with candy-coated milk chocolate gems, caramel bits, rainbow nonpareils, and white chocolate drizzle. Eat it responsibly.

Cheery Lemon Animal Crackers

A display of Trader Joe's Cheery Lemon Animal Crackers in yellow and blue packaging, showing animal illustrations and labeled as covered in yogurt candy coating with nonpareils. Each bag is 1.65 oz (47g).
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

If you’re looking for something small and cheap to throw in an Easter basket, these $1 cheery lemon animal crackers will do the trick just fine. We only wish they were shaped like bunnies and chicks.

Jelly Beans

A display of colorful jelly bean packages with handwritten price tags, including "Gourmet Jelly Beans" for $5.49, "Jelly Beans" for $2.79, and "Sour Jelly Beans" for $4.49 on a store shelf.
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

Trader Joe’s has three jelly bean options: “gourmet jelly beans” for $5.49 (the classic take on jelly beans in a 15-ounce bag), a smaller 5-ounce box for $2.79, or sour jelly beans, also for $2.79.

Milk Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears

Bags of Trader Joe’s Milk Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears are displayed on a shelf above a handwritten price sign showing $3.99. The packaging is yellow with cartoon gummy bears and colorful lettering.
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

How sweet (literally): Trader Joe’s doesn’t make you choose between fruity, gummy candies and chocolate ones. You get the best of both worlds with these little guys.

Spring Gummies

Two bags of "Spring Gummies" soft and chewy gummy candy are displayed. The packaging features colorful gummy shapes, green grass, and black-and-white butterflies on a blue sky background. Each bag is 4.4 oz (397 g).
Rachel Schneider / Cheapism

We’re big fans of what Trader Joe’s does over in its gummy candy department, so these spring shapes are a given as we plan Easter basket fixings.

Meet the Writer

She grows vegetables in her garden, gets her meat in bulk from local farmers, and cans fruits and vegetables with friends.
