Aldi has never been shy about the quality of its store-brand products, and now it has some hardware to back that up. Three Aldi-exclusive items claimed wins in the 2026 Product of the Year Awards — a nationwide recognition program that spans 40 categories and puts the decision entirely in the hands of consumers.

What Are Aldi’s Product of the Year Awards?

Founded more than 30 years ago, Product of the Year is now one of the most widely recognized consumer product awards in the world, operating in over 40 countries. In the US, the program works by having roughly 40,000 shoppers participate in a nationally representative study run by Kantar, a global research firm. Products must be newly launched to qualify and compete within defined categories covering everything from food and beverages to personal care and household goods. Each February, category winners are announced and earn the right to carry the program’s red seal on their packaging for two years.

That seal is more than a decoration. Research from Kantar shows that shoppers are 50% more likely to buy a product when they know it earned the votes of 40,000 consumers, and the logo outperforms the word “New” on packaging by 25%. Winning products have also been shown to outsell their category averages by more than 38%.

This year’s 40 winning products include nationally known names like Tide, Eggo, Butterball, and Kinder Bueno, along with several Aldi brand products.

Simply Nature Granola Bites — Granola Category

Aldi’s Simply Nature brand took the granola category with its Granola Bites, a snack that checks a lot of boxes for health-conscious shoppers. The bites are non-GMO, gluten-free, and low in calories, designed to work as a quick breakfast, a midday snack, or an on-the-go option. They come in two flavors — Strawberry and Chocolate Chip — both available in 4.25 oz bags for $3.45 each.

Elevation Ultra Filtered Milkshakes — Health & Wellness Category

The Elevation brand, another Aldi exclusive, earned the Health & Wellness category win with its Ultra Filtered Milkshakes. These aren’t your average convenience-store shakes — each bottle packs 30 grams of protein and only 2 grams of sugar, and is fortified with nine essential vitamins and minerals. Ultra-pasteurized for freshness, they’re built for post-workout recovery or a nutritious grab-and-go option. The milkshakes come in two flavors — Chocolate and Vanilla — sold in four-packs of 11.5 fl oz bottles for $8.79.

Elliot Cooper Chardonnay — Wine Category

Rounding out Aldi’s wins is the Elliot Cooper Chardonnay, an Aldi-exclusive white wine that claimed the wine category. Priced at $9.65 for a 750 ml bottle, it’s described as a crisp, balanced Chardonnay with a smooth finish — well-suited for pairing with seafood, poultry, or creamy sauces. It’s the kind of everyday bottle that fits comfortably at a dinner party or a quiet weeknight, and at under $10, it represents the kind of value Aldi has long been known for.

Aldi’s sweep across three distinct categories — a better-for-you snack, a high-protein functional beverage, and an accessible wine — reflects both the wide variety of its private label offerings and the growing consumer appetite for quality at a lower price point. All five products (including the two flavor variations for the granola bites and milkshakes) are available now at Aldi stores nationwide.
