Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel is really hard not to love. It’s about as close to Grandma’s cooking as a chain restaurant can be and it touts hefty portions at affordable prices. From pancakes to Cracker Barrel’s famous hashbrown casserole, the menu is chock full of morningtime favorites. Plus, the country store is a great place to kill time while you wait for a table.
Waffle House
Waffle House is the epitome of “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.” It’s a simple, no frills place with a straightforward breakfast menu (not to mention a secret menu). Is it gourmet? Not in the slightest. But you can sit down, catch a glimpse of the cooks preparing your food, get it quickly, and it tastes good every time.
IHOP
The International House of Pancakes is an elite eatery with only the finest pancakes offered on its menu. Nah, we’re kidding. IHOP is a laid-back establishment with a huge assortment of pancakes, omelets, and other breakfast goodies though and it’s beloved because of it. (They also have a secret menu.) Plus, the place is open 24 hours a day.

Bob Evans
Bob Evans’ breakfast lineup is stacked with omelets, bowls, pancakes, and everything in between. And the restaurant’s sausage is so tasty that you can buy it at grocery stores. Not to mention, Bob’s offers cappuccinos and mochas on the beverage side of its breakfast menu, which is a nice touch.

Huddle House
With Georgia roots, Huddle House has grown to nearly 300 locations, predominantly in the southern states. The menu is bursting with creative spins on classic dishes, including stuffed hashbrowns and hashbrown casserole, which comes complete with fried chicken, bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausage gravy atop a bed of hashbrowns.

We’re not sure what Denny’s is better known for — being the go-to breakfast spot or the go-to hangover spot. Thanks to its 24-hour structure, people tend to flock to Denny’s after a night out for a Grand Slam breakfast.
First Watch
First Watch is a Florida-based chain with a contemporary, offbeat menu that leans into seasonal flavors. The restaurant’s Hacienda Hash includes potatoes, chorizo, red bell pepper, eggs, cheese, spicy ketchup, lime crema drizzle, smashed avocado, and scallions and the Hawaiian french toast comes topped with caramelized pineapple, coconut whipped cream, caramel toffee sauce, and spiced gingerbread cookie crumbles. We know what we want for breakfast.

Snooze A.M. Eatery
