Every spring, fast-food chains add fish to the menu. Even if a restaurant doesn’t normally offer seafood, some still add it, as customers look for Lent-appropriate meals without beef or chicken.

Sometimes these specials aren’t cheap, though, so we’re always on the lookout for the best fish sandwich and seafood deals during this time of year. Here are the best inexpensive fast-food fish options we’ve found this year.

Popeyes: $6 Shrimp Tackle Box

A box of Popeyes fried shrimp, seasoned fries, and a biscuit served on an orange tray with the Popeyes logo highlights one of their tasty fast-food fish deals, set on a wooden table with a blue background.
Popeyes

Sure, the fried flounder sandwich at Popeyes is great, but it’s the $6 Shrimp Tackle Boxes that are the actual deal. You get eight fried shrimp plus a side and biscuit. Plus, you can get your shrimp tossed in one of four sauces this year, including garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, buffalo, and ghost pepper.

Long John Silver’s: $6 Shrimp Baskets

A serving of seasoned shrimp on a bed of rice, with a side of green beans in a small cup, presented in a white tray with blue trim on white parchment paper.
Long John Silver’s

Of course Long John Silver’s has some good fish deals. For $6, you can get one of three shrimp baskets: six grilled shrimp over rice, six batter-dipped fried shrimp, or popcorn shrimp. The battered and the popcorn shrimp meals come with your choice of side and two hushpuppies. The grilled shrimp comes with savory rice and a side.

Del Taco: 3 for $7 Fish Tacos

Two tacos filled with fried shrimp, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a creamy sauce, served on flour tortillas with lime wedges. Taco sauce packets are placed nearby on a white background.
Del Taco

Del Taco has a solid lineup of Tex-Mex seafood items this year and there are good deals as usual. The beer-battered Crispy Fish Taco features wild-caught Alaskan pollock with secret sauce and pico de gallo, and are three for $7. Also available are the Crispy Jumbo Shrimp tacos at $6 for two.

Checkers and Rally’s: $4 Fish Sandwich

Checkers/Rally’s

Sister chains Checkers and Rally’s have their limited-time fish sandwich on special for Lent. You can get a crispy pollock filet on a bun with lettuce and tartar sauce for $4.

Subway: $5 Tuna Sub

Subway has a good Sub of the Day deal. Each day of the week, a different 6-inch sub will be on sale for $5. On Fridays — the day that many people refrain from eating meat on — the sub of the day is tuna salad. If you want to make it a combo and get the Meal of the Day, that’ll be $7.

Captain D’s: $6 Shrimp Meal Deal

A plate of fried fish, breaded shrimp, hush puppies, steamed broccoli, and a cup of dipping sauce on a white and blue paper liner.
Captain D’s

Captain D’s is a fried seafood chain, so naturally they’ve got good deals right now. There’s a number of $6 meal deals to choose from: a two-piece fish and fries, a seafood trio with fish, shrimp, and stuffed crab shell, and a new fish and shrimp combo. They all come with fries and hushpuppies.

Panera: $7 Tuna Sandwich and Tomato Soup

A black plate with a tuna salad sandwich on whole wheat, filled with lettuce and tomato, sits next to a black bowl of tomato soup topped with croutons—perfect for enjoying classic comfort flavors or exploring fast-food fish deals at home.
Panera

Skip the regular menu at Panera and look for the “Value Duets” section. There, you’ll see a combo with a half tuna salad sandwich and a cup of tomato soup for only $7.
