Did you forget the flowers this year? Don’t sweat it just yet, or rush to your local florist hoping to grab whatever is left.

DoorDash is partnering with over 3,000 local and national florists to make Valentine’s Day shopping a breeze with same-day flower delivery — making staying out of the dog house easier than ever.

The app has added a “Flowers” section that lists florists’ offerings in your local area. And to promote the partnership, DoorDash is offering customers who order flowers through Valentine’s Day a chance to win a free diamond necklace from Neil Lane. Customers can also get 50% off purchases up to $25 with the code BLOOM through Valentine’s Day. DashPass members can save 50% up to $30 with the code DPBLOOM.

Flowers are just DoorDash’s latest addition beyond its typical restaurant takeout. The company also recently partnered with the Girl Scouts for same-day cookie delivery, perfect for those days when you just can’t wait another minute for your Samoas and Thin Mints. Customers can also use its DashMart service for convenience items and household essentials.

Meet the Writer

Jennifer Magid has worked as a writer and editor in publishing and marketing for almost two decades. She has written for outlets ranging from InStyle magazine to Psychology Today and for a number of grocery and personal care brands. Jennifer is frugal by proxy: She is married to a certified cheapskate, which has been good for her wallet but bad for her shoe and handbag collections. These days, she never, ever buys her fashions at full price. Jennifer holds a Master’s in Journalism from New York University. She lives in Connecticut with her family and an admittedly expensive-to-maintain standard poodle — the one anomaly in her cheap lifestyle. Find out more about Jennifer at www.jennifermagid.com.
