If you’ve been hoping for a Trader Joe’s to open near you, this might be your lucky year. The funky, uber popular grocery store just announced nine new stores it’s adding to the map — and that’s on top of the new locations they already surprised us with earlier this year. So if you’ve been hoping to keep your kitchen stocked with Everything But the Bagel seasoning and Mandarin Orange Chicken, you may be in luck.

Why Trader Joe’s Is Expanding

People love to shop at Trader Joe’s. Both the store and some of its products have a cult following, and it’s easy to see why. They carry a lot of special diet foods, they’re very selective about the products they carry so you know anything you try will be great (and if it’s not, you can return it for a refund, no questions asked!), and the employees are super friendly and helpful.

Trader Joe’s now has a new second location in McKinney! It opened May 7, at the corner of El Dorado & Stonebridge! It’s laid out much wider than the TJs off 75! Much more spacious but the parking lot is still a cluster! #traderjoes #mckinney #mckinneytx #dallasfoodblogger

While it’s not the cheapest grocery store around (at least not in our area), the prices are reasonable for what is often an organic or otherwise specialty product. Compared to stores like Whole Foods, the prices are downright cheap. Plus, with an every-changing lineup of new items, it’s just a fun place to shop.

A BRAND NEW TJ’S??? My one requirement when moving to the Seattle area was to have a TJ’s within ten minutes from us! Now there’s one LITERALLY right down the road😭💗 #traderjoes #openingday #seattle

What we don’t know yet is when any of these will be opening; they all have the opening date listed as TBD. But considering these new stores seem to already be in the works with confirmed addresses, we’re guessing they’ll open by the end of the year. If you live near any of these, your best bet is to check local news for more information on opening dates.

Previously Announced New Trader Joe’s Locations

This is the second time this year that Trader Joe’s has announced a slew of new openings. Back in April, 18 new stores were announced across a dozen states. So with almost 30 stores opening in the near future, maybe one will be coming near you soon.
