As temperatures start climbing and people begin collectively pretending frozen sugar water counts as hydration, 7-Eleven is inviting you to embrace the Slurpee season.

The convenience store chain announced its new Slurpee Drink Happy Hour promotion, where 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can grab a large Slurpee for just $1 every weekday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. through August 25 at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations.

7-Eleven celebrates its annual Slurpee Day every July 11 to mark the convenience store chain’s birthday.

Over the years, the promotion has built an almost cult-like following around the frozen drink through limited-edition flavors, seasonal promotions, and aggressively colorful marketing campaigns.

“Slurpee Day is a can’t-miss tradition for our customers, and the countdown is just as exciting as the big day,” Brandon Brown, senior vice president of fresh food and beverages at 7-Eleven, said in a statement.

But this year, 7-Eleven is stretching the festivities far beyond a single day by piling on additional drink deals, sweepstakes, and exclusive flavors throughout the season.

Among the new additions is an Arizona Iced Tea Blue Raspberry Slurpee flavor, because regular blue raspberry was no longer enough blue raspberry for society.

Customers can also grab Arizona teas and juices for 99 cents, while loyalty members can score 59-cent Big Gulp drinks for a limited time. And in true over-the-top convenience-store fashion, the company is launching a “Slurpee Truck VIP Experience Sweepstakes,” giving rewards members the chance to win a visit from an actual Slurpee truck loaded with frozen drinks and prizes.

With snack prices becoming increasingly ridiculous lately, a $1 Slurpee might be one of the few things left that still feels like an actual deal.
