Scalloped potatoes are to ham what peanut butter is to jelly. They’re also awfully time-consuming to make, and if you made them with the amount of cheeses that are in these Trader Joe’s taters, they’d be pretty pricey to boot. If you’re looking to keep things cheap and easy, these are your best bet.

Two pounds of sweet potatoes for less than $3? Sold! Honestly, all you need to do to make these delicious is poke a few holes in them, bake them, and top them with butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It doesn’t get much easier.

True story: I saw these raspberry mousse cakes and said, “I should definitely include these in my round-up, especially since they are only $4.” Then, as if by some uncontrollable force, they ended up in my cart, and five of the six met their demise in my belly. Oops.
